Man, 19, Wanted In Trenton Teen's Killing Captured, U.S. Marshals Say

A man accused of shooting and killing another teen in Trenton, authorities said.

Keisan Simmons, 19, was arrested on Saturday, Sept. 30, the U.S. Marshals Service Philadelphia posted on Twitter. He was wanted in the death of 17-year-old Opium Leverette of Trenton on Sunday, Sept. 22.

Police responded to the shooting on the 200 block of Homan Avenue at around 12:32 p.m. Officers gave aid to Leverette after finding him with a gunshot wound to his back.

Paramedics rushed Leverette to Capital Health Regional Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at 1:09 p.m.

Simmons was taken into custody across the Delaware River in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. U.S. Marshals and Morrisville police captured him at an apartment complex on the 200 block of West Bridge Street.
